Advantages for observable and directly measurable actions

A wide variety of personality models (e.g. Big Five) try to describe WHO someone is. Soft skills, on the other hand, refer to HOW a person actually acts in practice. Personality traits are therefore less important when assessing candidates compared to observable and directly measurable soft skills. In addition, soft skills can be developed relatively easily. Changing one's own personality, if at all possible, will probably be much more difficult for most people than adapting one's actions in practice.
