Is it possible for Scheduled Employees to "accept" or "deny" their scheduled shifts?
No, schedule team members will see their schedule and are not prompted to accept or confirm the shifts. They can reach out to their manager within the app chat if they have questions regarding their shift.
Can Schedulers see whether Scheduled Employees have viewed their shifts and/or the schedule as a whole?
Once published the whole team is notified and has access to view the schedule but Admin users do not have visibility into which team members are using the app or viewing the schedule.
How does the Labor Matrix work?
If you schedule your labor by number of employees per hour, rather than by a revenue per hour budget, you can set up a labor matrix below to define your thresholds.
To turn on the labor matrix:
Login to 5-Out
Navigate to Settings > Restaurant Setup
Click into "Secheduling"
Check the box next to "Enable Labor Matrix"
Enter Revenue Ranges and the number of employees you need to staff for each
Enter Labor Minimums, which are the minimum labor requirements that you need to run your restaurant, and the time periods when that applies
Does 5-Out give specific advise on when to staff a given role or proactively advise on cutting hours?
5-Out automates hourly labor budgets and provides easy visibility into schedule versus target and forecast versus actual. It also makes it easy to manage a Labor Matrix staffing model (see above). That said, it does not automate the task of scheduling or proactively recommend team members be cut early.
