There are two scenarios when you would need an empty, for your current load or for your next load. Here's what you can do on both scenarios:
Found Empty For Current Load
If you found an empty that is different than the one assigned to you on the app, click no empties at facility and the app will ask you to do a yard check.
After doing a yard check and if there's an empty, you can then scan any empty trailer you can find there.
Found Empty For Next Load
If you find an empty trailer for your next load, finish your current load if you have not already done so, and then click 'Trailer Dashboard' and 'Tap To Pickup'.
If there's an empty at a facility when you're dropping off a loaded trailer, we may ask you to pick up an empty for your next load. When this is the case, you should see "Pickup a New Trailer" as you begin check-in process.
