Adjust Setup Walkthrough

Aura is integrated with Adjust as a module partner. Once the setup is complete we will receive attribution and post-install event data through automated postback.

The setup incorporates three major steps:

  1. Enabling automated postbacks

  2. Customizing in-app events

  3. Creating tracking URLs

Enabling Automated Postbacks

To enable Adjust’s integration with Aura from Unity, follow these steps:

  1. Login to your Adjust dashboard

  2. Choose the app and select your app options menu (^)

  3. Select Partner Setup > ADD PARTNERS

  4. Search Aura from Unity in the top search bar

  5. Select the add (+) icon next to Aura from Unity

  6. Switch to the Android tab

  7. Turn on Enabled

  8. Select Save

Congratulations, now we will be able to receive postbacks for installs. Next step is required to forward postbacks for post-install events.

Customizing In-App Events

To be able to optimize towards your marketing goals, we would use post-install event postbacks. You can link your post-install events to Aura from Unity preset events or custom events.

In order to share post-install events, follow these steps in your Adjust dashboard:

  1. Choose the app and select your app options menu (^)

  2. Select Partner Setup > Aura from Unity > Event Linking

  3. Choose the event you want to share and update the field with Aura event out of the list below

    1. levelAchieved

    2. appRegistered

    3. tutorialCompleted

    4. inAppPurchase

    5. Custom event (we support 5 custom events)

  4. When you finish customizing events, select OK

  5. Toggle In-App Revenue Forwarding to share purchase amounts

    1. Note: Choose at least one purchase event before turning on In-App Revenue Forwarding

  6. Toggle Ad Revenue Forwarding (All sources) to optimize towards a ROAS goal

  7. Enable Session Forwarding to share App Opens (Retention data)

  8. Select Save

Now we will receive post-install event data for each of your assigned events.

Create Tracker URLs

To complete the setup and launch your campaign, you need to create an Adjust tracker URL, and share it with your Aura Account Manager.

To create an Adjust tracker URL, follow these steps:

  1. Choose the app and select your app options menu (^)

  2. Select Tracker URLs

  3. Select NEW TRACKER

  4. Enter a tracker name

  5. Under Network > Select Aura from Unity

  6. Select CUSTOMIZE

  7. Select Attribution Settings

  8. Under Click-Based Attribution > Device matching > Change Attribution Window to 30 days

  9. Select APPLY

  10. Select Create

  11. Copy the two tracker URLs

  12. Select DONE

  13. Share the tracker with your Aura Account Manager

Sharing Adjust Dashboard Access

For data validation and troubleshooting, we would require access to the app’s data within the Adjust dashboard.

To share Adjust dashboard access with Aura from Unity, follow these steps:

  1. Open the main menu

  2. Choose My Account

  3. Select the Users tab

  4. Select ADD USER

  5. Choose role > Custom

  6. Select App Access

  7. Choose the apps you would like to give access to

  8. Select CUSTOM Access

  9. Under Partner Access choose Aura from Unity or select Tracker level Access

  10. APPLY changes
