Steps for Troubleshooting Connection Issues:

Vehicle Compatibility:

  • Ensure that your vehicle has factory-installed wired CarPlay, as it is necessary for the Wireless Adapter to function.

  • Check your vehicle's manual if you are unsure if this system is included from the factory. You can also view the different models at the following link: Apple CarPlay. This link lists all models with wired and wireless CarPlay. Please ensure that your car has wired CarPlay.

Verify Correct Connection:

  • Ensure that the Wireless Adapter is properly connected to the vehicle's USB port.

  • If your vehicle has more than one USB port, try connecting the adapter to a different port. Some USB ports may have different power levels or compatibility.

Check if the Wireless Adapter is On:

  • Try to find the AutoSky device in the WiFi and Bluetooth networks on your phone to see if it is on. It should normally appear as "CarPlayBox" or "AutoSky" followed by some numbers and letters.

Restart the Device:

  • Try restarting both the adapter and your vehicle's infotainment system.

  • Disconnect the device from your vehicle's USB port, wait about 10 seconds, and reconnect it. Turn off your vehicle and turn it back on.

  • If the above steps do not resolve the issue, try restarting the stereo with a hard reset. This process is different for each stereo, so please check here.

Ensure CarPlay is Enabled:

  • In some vehicles, CarPlay must be enabled in the infotainment system's settings menu.

Update the Adapter Firmware:

  • Check the user manual to see if there are firmware updates available for your adapter.

  • Follow the instructions provided in the manual to update the device's firmware.

Reset the Adapter:

  • Perform a factory reset of the adapter. Check the adapter's manual for specific steps.

Additional Information:

  • If you have never been able to start the adapter in your vehicle, it is likely that it is not compatible with your car model.

  • If the device previously worked in your car and stopped working, and you have tried all the steps above, contact Technical Support.
