Verify Compatibility and Connection

Vehicle Compatibility:

Make sure your vehicle has wired CarPlay installed from the factory, as this is required for the AI Box to work.

Check your vehicle's manual if you're unsure whether this system is factory-installed. You can also see the different models at the following link: Apple CarPlay. This link lists all models with both wired and wireless CarPlay. Ensure your car has wired CarPlay.

⚠️ Important: Our Ai Box devices are not compatible with any BMW models because BMW’s infotainment system uses security protocols that block the connection with our devices.

If you purchased an Ai Box and it is not compatible with your vehicle, please contact our support team to arrange a return and request a refund.

Smartphone Compatibility:

The AutoSky AI Box devices are designed to work with a wide range of smartphones compatible with Apple CarPlay. Make sure your smartphone is supported.

Proper Connection:

Ensure that the AI Box is properly connected to your vehicle’s USB port. To determine if the device is powered on:

LED Indicator:

  • If the LED is off, try changing the device’s cable or restarting the device.

  • If the LED is on, check the LED color and follow the steps below.

Check the LED Color:

🔵 Blue: Try opening CarPlay on your vehicle’s infotainment system. This should launch the AI Box.
🔴 Red: If your vehicle has factory-installed CarPlay and the LED indicator is red, it means the AI Box is powered on but cannot connect to your stereo. To resolve this, try restarting the device or resetting your stereo.

Restart the Device:

  • Unplug the device from your vehicle’s USB port, wait about 10 seconds, and plug it back in.

  • Try using a different USB port.

  • Turn your vehicle off and back on.

If the above steps do not resolve the issue, try restarting your stereo with a full reset. This process varies by stereo model, so check your vehicle’s manual or here.

If you have never been able to start the AI Box in your vehicle, it is likely not compatible with your car model.
