We have noticed that X (Formerly known as Twitter) has been declining a wide range of our virtual cards for premium subscriptions from Nigeria as a region and this has become a major problem as users cannot make payments in Nigeria with their virtual card for premium features.
This guide will show you how to use your card to make payments on X without any issues on both Android and iOS devices.
Using Android's in-app purchase system to make payments:
Kindly note that the Bitnob Virtual Card is a dollar card. This means our cards use a USA billing address and will only work in the United States region, because of this you will need to change your Google Pay payment profile to match the address and region on the card issued to you by Bitnob.
Change Google Pay Settings: Visit https://payments.google.com/ and sign in.
Update Country/Region: In "Settings," find "Country/Region" and click "Create a new profile." Set it to the United States using your Bitnob Virtual Card's billing address.
Switch Google Play Store Region: Open Google Play Store, click "Account" in the menu, then "Country and Profiles." Choose your new USA payment profile. It might take up to 48 hours to update.
Wait for an Update: Let the changes reflect.
Make Payment on X App: Open the X app, go to the payment section, choose Google Pay, and use your Virtual Card.
Congratulations! You've successfully used your card to pay for X premium!
Making payments through iOS's in-app purchase feature.
For our iOS users, this process is a bit different but still straight to the point. You'll first need to confirm that your Apple ID region is set to the United States, matching the billing address of your Virtual Card.
Change Apple ID Settings: In "Settings," click your name, then "Media and Purchases," and tap "View Account."
Update Country/Region: Scroll to "Country/Region," click "Change Country or Region," and pick the United States. Agree to terms.
Enter Payment Method: Add your Bitnob Virtual Card info. Ensure the billing address matches.
Wait for an Update: Let the changes take effect.
Make Payment on X App: Open the X app, go to the payment section, choose Apple Pay, and use your Virtual Card.
