What if “Something went wrong” during verification?

This article explains what to do if you see a “Something went wrong” error while completing your verification on CUSP.

Updated over 2 months ago

Why This Happens

Seeing an error during verification can feel worrying — but it doesn’t mean your account has been rejected.
It usually appears because of a technical issue, such as a weak connection or an incomplete upload.

Quick Fixes

Try these steps to resolve the issue:

  • Close and reopen the app to reset your session.

  • Check your internet connection, a weak signal may interrupt the upload.

  • Make sure camera permissions are enabled so the app can scan your ID and capture your selfie.

  • Take clear photos of your valid ID in good lighting, avoiding glare or blur.

  • Check you’re using the latest version of the CUSP app.

  • Retry the verification, your progress is usually saved, so you won’t need to start over.

What to Expect

  • If the error was caused by a temporary glitch, verification should go through once you retry.

  • If the issue persists, it may require additional review from our team.

  • You’ll receive a notification in the app or by email once the review is complete.

When to Contact Support

If the error keeps appearing after you’ve tried the above steps:

  1. Share details such as your device model, operating system, and a screenshot of the error.

  2. Our team will guide you step by step until your verification is complete.
