How to adjust my risk profile after creating my CUSP Personalised portfolio?

Your financial goals can evolve over time — and so can your risk profile.

Updated yesterday

Your financial goals can evolve over time — and so can your risk profile. Here's how to update it directly in the CUSP Wealth app.

If you haven't invested yet

You can easily adjust your risk level before your first investment:

  1. Open the CUSP Wealth app and go to your CUSP Personalised portfolio setup.

  2. Use the risk slider to adjust your risk level — from Low to High.

  3. Tap See your goal projection to confirm and preview your new settings.

  4. Go back to your Investing preferences to review your updated profile.

You'll see the new portfolio allocation based on your selected risk level before you confirm your investment.

If you already have an active CUSP Personalised portfolio

Once your CUSP Personalised portfolio is created and invested, your current risk profile is locked in.

To change it:

  1. Sell all the assets in your existing CUSP Personalised portfolio.

  2. Once the sale is complete and funds appear in your cash balance, you can create a new CUSP Personalised portfolio with your preferred risk level.

Your new portfolio will automatically reflect your updated selection.

My portfolio type keeps changing — what should I do?

Some users have reported that after selecting a portfolio type (for example, Conservative), the app automatically switches to a different type (such as Defensive) when attempting to proceed.

This is a known issue that our team is actively working to fix in an upcoming app release.

In the meantime, here's what to do:

  • If you have not yet created your portfolio, please go ahead and create it with whichever type is available (e.g. Defensive). Our support team can manually update your portfolio type to your preferred selection.

  • Contact us through in-app chat or email us at Support@cuspwealth.com and let us know the portfolio type you'd like (e.g. Conservative). We will apply the change for you as quickly as possible.

We understand this is frustrating, and we apologise for the inconvenience. Our team is committed to resolving this fully in the next release.

Note: Conservative and Defensive are distinct portfolio types with different risk levels. Conservative carries a higher risk level than Defensive — please make sure to confirm your preferred type with our support team.
