How to deposit money into my CUSP wealth account?

Learn how to deposit funds into your CUSP Wealth account using a local bank transfer from any supported UAE bank.

Updated this week

Depositing money into your CUSP Wealth account is quick and done entirely within the app. CUSP uses Open Banking — a regulated technology used by banks worldwide — powered by Lean Technologies, the leading Open Banking provider in the MENA region.

Which banks are supported?

Your deposit experience depends on which bank you use. Check your bank below:

  • Instant Deposit (Recommended): Mashreq — deposits are verified and processed instantly.

  • Other Supported Banks: ADCB, ADIB, CBD, DIB, Emirates Islamic, Emirates NBD, FAB, HSBC, RAKBANK, Sharjah Islamic, and WIO — requires a quick one-time bank connection.

Instant Deposit (Recommended Banks)

If your bank is listed as recommended (currently Mashreq), your deposit is verified and processed instantly — no extra setup needed.

  1. Open the CUSP Wealth app and tap "Make your first deposit" or "Deposit".

  2. Enter the amount you'd like to deposit and tap "Continue".

  3. Select your bank from the list — it will be marked as "Recommended".

  4. Approve the transaction in the secure pop-up — this connects directly to your bank to confirm the payment.

That's it — your funds will appear in your CUSP Wealth account within moments.

First-Time Bank Connection (Other Supported Banks)

If your bank isn't listed as "Recommended," you'll complete a quick, one-time bank connection before your first deposit. This is a standard Open Banking verification — your bank needs to recognise CUSP as an authorised recipient.

Step 1: Connect your bank (one-time only)

  1. Open the CUSP Wealth app and tap "Make your first deposit" or "Deposit".

  2. Enter the amount you'd like to deposit and tap "Continue".

  3. Select your bank from the list. A secure login screen from your bank will appear — log in as you normally would.

  4. Your bank will ask you to authorise CUSP as a new payment recipient. Approve the request to complete the connection.

Note: Your bank may take up to 4 hours to fully activate the connection. This is a standard banking procedure when adding a new recipient — similar to adding a new beneficiary in your banking app.

Step 2: Make your deposit

  1. Once your bank connection is active, open the CUSP Wealth app and tap "Deposit".

  2. Select your bank from the list, enter the deposit amount, and tap "Continue".

  3. Enter the OTP (one-time password) sent by your bank to authorise the payment.

Your deposit is on its way — funds will appear in your CUSP Wealth account once your bank processes the transfer.

After Your Deposit

Once your bank processes the transfer, your funds will automatically appear in your CUSP Wealth account. You'll receive a confirmation both in the app and by email. If your deposit hasn't appeared after a few hours, don't worry — processing times can vary by bank. You can always reach out to our support team for help.

Is it safe to connect my bank?

Your bank connection is handled by Lean Technologies — the same Open Banking provider trusted by 350+ companies across the region.
Here's how your money and data are protected:

  • CUSP is regulated by the DFSA: CUSP Wealth company is licensed and regulated by the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA), ensuring the highest standards of financial security.

  • Lean is regulated by the ADGM: Lean Technologies is authorised by the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) Financial Services Regulatory Authority and holds ISO 27001:2022 certification for information security.

  • Bank-level encryption: Your bank login credentials are never stored by CUSP or Lean.

  • You stay in control: Every transaction requires your explicit approval — either through your banking app or an OTP sent by your bank. No one can move your money without your authorisation.

Note: You'll need to complete identity verification before making your first deposit. Once verified, you can start depositing funds and unlock the full CUSP Wealth experience.
