Citation-Weighted Net Sentiment​ puts a greater emphasis on a company’s products that are more pervasive in the enterprise.

Citation-Weighted Net Sentiment​ is the average Net Sentiment across sectors weighted by citations received in each sector. ​


Example: Company XYZ product’s fall into 3 sectors​

  • Sector A – Analytics/BI/Big Data: 50% Net Sentiment, 400 citations​

  • Sector B – ML/AI: 35% Net Sentiment, 120 citations​

  • Sector C – Database/Data Warehousing Software: 30% Net Sentiment, 100 citations​

Citation-Weighted = ( [50% * 400] + [35% * 120] + [30% * 100] ) / (400 + 120 + 100) = 43.9%​
