The first step is to make sure you have created your draw under Player Management -> Group Pairings. Golfers will use the https://play.eventcaddy.com to login with their browser.
Your golfers will receive an email 3 days prior to the event with this code as well as full instructions on how to access and use Live Scoring. To login to the live scoring site, all they need is the phone number they registered with - and they will be texted a code to login. You will want to make sure all golfers have a phone number attached to them.
You also have the option to manually send to them again if needed. This email can only be sent once every 24 hours. To resend it, go to Player Management -> Starting List and choose 'Email live scoring instructions' from the Actions column. This will send the instructions to a specific team.
Once they log in - they can create a team name and start recording scores!
From there, they can then begin their round - but it's important they double check the hole they start scoring on matches the hole they are starting on. Players should not start their round until the day of play. From there, they will enter all players scores, save and proceed to the next hole. They will be able to view the leaderboard by toggling between scorecard and leaderboard near the top of the screen.
PRO TIP:
Players Login: The way your players will log in to https://play.eventcaddy.com is with the phone number attached to the player / used when they registered. To eliminate confusion, you can instruct your golfers to get you names/contact info well in advance for you to edit - or they can edit this themselves via your tournament website. In the menu, there is an option "Manage Order" where all they need is the receipt number and email used when registering. If a player comes up to you the day of - you can easily add their phone number with the live scoring site with the Player Manager feature.
Outside of North America: If you are holding an event outside of North America, please contact us via the chat - there may be a special country code that needs to be added to all phone numbers for login access.
