Your Fieldy 3 uses vibration to tell you what's happening - even when you can't see the LED or the screen. Here's what each buzz feels like and what it means.
Recording feedback
When | What it feels like |
Recording starts | One smooth buzz that starts soft and quickly builds to a stronger pulse - over in less than half a second. |
Recording stops | Two pulses: a short, strong buzz, a brief pause, then a slightly longer, slightly softer buzz. |
Recording couldn't start | Three short, sharp buzzes back-to-back, a distinct "no-go" signal, different from the smooth single buzz that plays when recording actually starts. |
Powering on and off
When | What it feels like |
Powering on | One solid, medium-length buzz at a steady strength. |
Powering off | One buzz that fades from strong down to soft, tapering off rather than cutting out sharply. |
Command mode (double-click)
When | What it feels like |
Entering command mode | One short, sharp tap. |
Exiting command mode | A short, sharp buzz, a brief pause, then a quicker, softer tap. |
Other feedback
When | What it feels like |
Regular button press | A single short, firm buzz confirming the press registered. |
Find My Device | A strong buzz lasting almost half a second, repeating about once per second for up to a minute - meant to be easy to feel even if Fieldy is buried in a bag or under a cushion. |
