Price Categories

The Price Category feature allows you to define custom pricing tiers for products and services.

Price Categories allow you to tailor pricing for different customer types. Once set up, pricing is automatically applied based on the account’s category. This helps streamline pricing management and ensures consistency across orders.


Define Price Categories

  1. Go to System Setup

  2. Access List Values

  3. Locate Price Category

  4. Add Value

    • Click Add or New to create individual price categories (e.g, Standard, Premium, Wholesale).

    • Give each category a clear and descriptive name.

Assign Price Categories to Accounts

  1. Go to Accounts:

    • Navigate to the Accounts section (Customers or Clients).

  2. Edit an Account:

    • Select the Account to which you want to assign a price category.

  3. Set Price Category:

    • In the account details, find the Price Category field.

    • Choose the Price Category from the dropdown list.

  4. Save Changes.

Define Product/Service Rates by Price Category

  1. Go to Products/Services:

  2. Edit a Product/Service:

  3. Set Rates for Each Price Category:

    • In the pricing section, you’ll see options to define rates for each Price Category.

    • Enter the appropriate rate for each category.

  4. Save Changes.

Use Price Categories in Orders

  1. Create a New Order:

  2. Select an Account:

    • Choose an account that has a Price Category assigned.

  3. Add Items to the Order:

    • When you add products or services, OnRent will automatically apply the pricing based on the account’s Price Category.

  4. Review and Confirm:

    • Ensure the correct prices are applied before finalizing the order.
