When to Use It
Use this feature when:
You need to log a breakdown or initiate repair work on an Order.
You want to track parts, labour, and assign a fitter — all within the rental workflow.
How to Create a Works Order Breakdown
Open the Rental Order containing the item.
Locate the Booked Out item.
Click the Order Item Actions Menu (⋮).
Select Works Order Breakdown.
A pop-up will happen asking for some information:
A new Works Order will be created and linked to the item.
🔒 Note: This does not affect the item’s availability — your rental booking remains active.
Managing the Breakdown Works Order
Once created, you can:
Add parts and labour as needed.
Track progress just like any other works order.
You can access the work order again via the same actions menu on the order item.
⚠️ Only one open breakdown works order is allowed per order item at a time.
