Spy Search

In this guide, we’ll walk you through one of our most powerful tools, Spy Search, and show you how to use it effectively to maximize its potential.

Written by Luca

In this tutorial, we'll explore how to effectively use our module: Spy Search. To get started, navigate to the Research section and select Spy Search. This tool allows you to load storefronts from competitive sellers and perform a reverse search on their products within our database.

The goal? To uncover profitable deals that you can potentially purchase.
Let's dive in and see how it's done!

The key to success with Spy Search is finding the right storefronts.

1. Find highly competitive Listings
No matter your region, focus on listings that are highly competitive — those where many sellers are active. These are typically a goldmine for identifying other online arbitrage sellers. In Germany, for example, SSDs (solid-state drives) are a prime target, as they are often heavily saturated with competition. This makes them an excellent starting point for uncovering profitable opportunities.

2. Identify the best sellers for Spy Search

One simple way is to open a product on Amazon and check the list of sellers on the listing. Look for sellers that appear to be using arbitrage or wholesale sourcing strategies, especially if they sell multiple similar products across different categories.

You can then click on the seller name to open their Amazon storefront. From there, copy the storefront ID and add it to SpySearch.

Another easy method is to use ProfitGo. When analyzing a product, you can check the sellers on the listing and use the detective icon to add a seller and their products directly to SpySearch.

Good storefronts to monitor are usually sellers that:

  • Sell products from brands or categories you are interested in

  • Have multiple active listings

  • Regularly appear on profitable products

  • Use a similar sourcing model to yours

  • Sell seasonal or trending products

3. Evaluate potential storefronts for arbitrage products

Look for multiple arbitrage products in the storefront and ensure the seller has at least 4–5 product pages to make it worth analyzing. Avoid sellers with only 1–3 product pages. Copy the Seller ID from the URL (after the Amazon domain) and paste it into the tool to proceed.

Step-by-Step Guide: How to Use the Spy Search Tool

1. Add a Seller ID

Start by clicking Add Seller ID. Follow the tutorial to locate and copy seller IDs. Select the target region (e.g., Germany), paste the ID, and click Import Seller.

2. Importing the Seller

Importing a new seller can take up to 5 minutes, but if the storefront is in the database, it loads in seconds.

3. Reverse Search Multiple Storefronts

Select one or more storefronts for the reverse search. Newly added products are marked with a green icon, and the tool automatically updates storefronts daily.

4. Filter and Apply Presets

Filter products by categories like All Products, New Products, or Products Not in Database. Apply your preferred preset to highlight profitable items.

All Products: Displays all the products found in the storefront.

New Products: Shows only the newly added products we've identified in the storefront.

Products Not in Database: Lists products from the storefront that are not yet available in our database.

I can confidently say that this tool is an absolute game-changer. Make sure to use it actively, ideally every day. Keep an eye out for new opportunities, and carefully filter out the best ones available. It saves you a significant amount of manual work and streamlines your process immensely.
