ProfitGo Sections

Written by AskPath AI

The information within ProfitGo is displayed across different sections. These sections are arranged vertically within the ProfitGo product overview and contain all relevant information about a specific product. The information is grouped in a way that provides the best possible overview of the product’s various characteristics.

The arrangement of the sections can be fully customized by opening any product analysis and clicking the icon shown in the top-right corner in the illustration below. You can then rearrange, show, or hide individual sections via drag & drop.

In the following, we will briefly take a look at the individual sections.

Product Overview

The “Product Overview” section displays the most important identifying characteristics of a product. It includes the product title, product image, and additional information such as the ASIN, EAN/GTIN, brand, and average Amazon rating.

At the bottom of the section, you will find several buttons. The top row is intended for functions within ProfitPath/ProfitGo, while the bottom row links to various marketplaces and price comparison websites for quick access. Hovering over a button displays a short description of its function.

Quick Info

In the “Quick Info” section, you will find several key product metrics — including the BSR (Best Seller Rank) and our in-house estimate of the product’s monthly sales on the selected target marketplace.

Below that is one of the core features of ProfitGo — the calculation tool. Here, you can enter the potential purchase price and expected selling price in order to receive a highly accurate calculation of the expected profit. These calculations are fundamentally based on your general settings [see Settings]. However, certain aspects such as the target country, the VAT included in the purchase price, and the fulfillment method (FBA/FBM) can be individually adjusted for the currently analyzed product. These settings are then automatically applied across all other sections within ProfitGo.

The calculation is based on the official Amazon Revenue Calculator and is as accurate as technically possible, with only a few exceptions (for example due to missing fee information on Amazon’s side). Details of the calculation can be viewed by hovering over the small calculator icon next to “Profit”.

In addition to the elements already mentioned, there is also a quick overview of a product’s alerts, which can likewise be explained by hovering over the respective icon. Alerts include various notifications regarding product or listing characteristics on Amazon that may be relevant for purchasing decisions or further operational handling.

For more detailed information about alerts, you can check out the dedicated section in which we discuss possible alerts in greater detail.

Amazon Marketplaces

Within the “Amazon Marketplaces” section, you can compare sales figures and profits across different target marketplaces. This provides an overview of the overall sales and profit potential across all marketplaces you use.

The calculations also take into account differing shipping and fulfillment costs, including costs caused by cross-border shipping.

You can also see the different Keepa charts for each country there.

Charts

The “Charts” section displays the historical development of the most important product metrics on Amazon. The respective Amazon marketplace can be selected using the icons at the top of the section, while the time period to be analyzed can be chosen at the bottom of the section.

The first graph shows the product’s historical price development. The different graphs represent various sellers and fulfillment methods. In addition, the product’s BSR (Best Seller Rank) history is displayed. This allows you to assess how price changes may influence the expected sales performance of a product.

The second graph displays the historical trend of Amazon-confirmed monthly sales figures for the product (if available). These figures are generally very reliable, as they originate directly from Amazon itself, making them a valuable indicator when evaluating a product.

Track Order

The functions within the “Track Order” section are less focused on product analysis and more on recording purchases within the ProfitPath ecosystem.

The information entered here is transferred directly into ProfitDesk, where it can be used for a variety of helpful functions (creating offers, preparing shipments to Amazon, etc.). For a complete overview of these possibilities, please refer to our [ProfitDesk Guide].

Ranks & Prices

The “Ranks & Prices” section summarizes the key metrics regarding the development of the BSR and Buy Box price of a product over a selected time frame. This time frame can be adjusted using the buttons at the bottom of the section.

Alerts

The “Alerts” section displays various notifications regarding the characteristics of a product or Amazon listing that may affect the purchasing decision or the handling of a potential sale. Examples include possible private label risks [Link PL Guide], product size information, and hazardous goods status.

We make every effort to ensure these alerts are as reliable as possible. However, they should not be treated as absolute certainty. For example, under certain circumstances, a product may still result in an IP claim despite otherwise inconspicuous parameters. Many electronic products are classified as hazardous goods, yet the FBA requirements for them are often significantly less restrictive than for “traditional” hazardous goods such as paints, varnishes, or perfumes.

For this reason, alerts should primarily be viewed as indicators that certain aspects may deserve further investigation.

Offers

The “Offers” section provides a quick overview of the current competitive situation on an Amazon listing. It displays current sellers for the product, including their inventory levels and current selling prices.

Additionally, based on the purchase price entered in the “Quick Info” section, you can see how much profit and ROI you would achieve at each seller’s current offer price.

Using the toggle in the top-left corner, you can switch between our own data (“Live Offers”) and Keepa data (“Recent Offers”). The toggle on the right allows you to filter out competitors whose offers are currently not fulfilled via Amazon Prime (for example due to FBM shipping, international EFN FBA shipping, etc.).

Since delivery speed plays a particularly important role in winning the Buy Box, this option can be especially useful if you are able to offer the product via Amazon Prime yourself.

Inventory information for all sellers should be interpreted carefully. This is partly because FBM sellers can manually adjust displayed inventory levels. For example, a seller with an actual inventory of 50 units may permanently display only 2 units available, while automatically replenishing the visible stock after each successful sale.

Buybox Statistics

In the “Buybox Statistics” section, the Buy Box distribution within the selected time period can be analyzed using the buttons at the top of the section. The relevant metrics are displayed both in tabular form and as a pie chart.

This allows you to instantly see how many different sellers were able to win the Buy Box during the selected period.

Generally speaking, an even distribution among several sellers indicates a more organic listing. Extremely large shares held by individual sellers may suggest a private label risk or a seller with a significantly superior sourcing price (for example due to direct manufacturer relationships).

Reverse Search

The “Reverse Search” section makes use of ProfitPath’s proprietary Reverse Search feature. It checks all shops within our catalog to determine the current purchase price for the product.

The cheapest suppliers are then listed in ascending order. For each listed price, the ROI across different Amazon target marketplaces is automatically calculated. This allows you to instantly determine whether profitable sourcing opportunities exist.

The section also includes the historical trend of the lowest price among suppliers within the ProfitPath catalog over a configurable time period, helping you better evaluate the current price level.

Variations

The “Variations” section contains information about the different variations of an Amazon listing. Since Amazon variations often share the same BSR, it can be difficult to accurately estimate how sales are distributed across individual variations.

ProfitGo attempts to solve this problem by, among other things, indicating whether Amazon itself has ever published monthly sales figures for a particular variation.

In addition, the “Check Reviews” button at the top of the extension allows you to compare the number of reviews between different variations. However, this should also be interpreted cautiously, as a variation added later may have significantly fewer reviews despite similar sales performance — and vice versa. You can also see the different Keepa charts for each Variation here.

Discounts

The “Discounts” section allows you to apply a discount to the entered purchase price. This can be useful, for example, when sourcing from a shop that currently offers a discount code or similar promotion.

By selecting a discount within the section, prices do not need to be recalculated manually.

VAT Calculation

Within the “VAT Calculation” section, product-specific VAT settings can be configured. This includes, among other things, the option selected in the “Quick Info” section regarding whether the purchase price was entered net or gross, as well as a quick selection option for products that benefit from reduced country-specific VAT rates.

WEEE Registry

In the “WEEE Registry” section, you can automatically search for a product’s WEEE number. This number is required for unlocking and selling electronic devices.

The product brand stored on Amazon is automatically pre-filled. You can then filter the results by different device categories using the dropdown menu.

In addition, the results for a given brand can be searched for specific authorized representatives using the search field. This search field can also automatically be filled with the brand name by clicking the speedometer icon next to it.

Google Sheets

The “Google Sheets” section allows you to quickly manage your existing Google Sheets or add the currently analyzed product to a selected Google Sheet with the click of a button.

If you would like to learn more about the Google Sheets integration, you can check out our dedicated guide on this topic [Google Sheets Guide].

Seller Central

The “Seller Central” section provides quick access to various Amazon Seller Central pages. Of particular interest is likely the “Add Product” button, which redirects you directly to the listing creation page.

Keepa Images

“Keepa Images” essentially contains similar information to the “Charts” section. However, the information is presented visually in a different way, allowing you to choose the display style you personally prefer.

Notes

In the “Notes” section, you can add notes to a product. These notes are automatically transferred into ProfitDesk when exporting to a Google Sheet or creating an order, for example.

Product History

Every time you visit an Amazon product page for a specific ASIN, the purchase and selling prices entered at that moment are saved. This creates a history that can be viewed in the “Product History” section.

Groups

For better organization of potentially interesting products, they can be assigned to groups within the “Groups” section.

Profit Calculator

The Profit Calculator can be used to see the exact prices to reach a specific Margin/ROI/Sell Price etc. Simply just put in your static desired fields and ProfitGo will calculate the rest which is needed to reach the numbers you put in.
