Customer Returns

This tool helps you to manage all the customer FBA returns.

Written by AskPath AI

The Customer Returns section helps you manage all FBA customer returns that are sent back by Amazon.

Whenever a returned item arrives, ProfitDesk provides an overview of the product, the return reason, customer comments, return details, and the current processing status.

Evaluating Returned Products

Once a return has been tracked, you can create directly a new listing within ProfitDesk for the new condition of the product. Just click the + in "the return details" column, to create a new listing for the same product.

Now select the desired condition for the returned product and choose whether you would like to create an FBA or FBM listing. You can either set a fixed selling price or define a target margin or ROI, allowing ProfitDesk to calculate the appropriate listing price automatically.

You can also select the marketplaces where the listing should be created and adjust the pricing for each marketplace individually.

In the top-right corner, you can choose whether to create a completely new listing or add the product to an existing SKU.

This allows you to document the product's actual condition after inspection and decide how the item should be handled moving forward.

ProfitDesk also displays useful information such as:

  • Return reason

  • Customer comments

  • Product information

  • Order details

  • Marketplace information

Once you have finished reviewing a return, you can manually update its status directly in the table by clicking on the desired status for that return.

Case Management

For returns that require further communication with Amazon, you can attach Amazon Case Numbers directly to the return.

You can also add internal notes to document inspection results or other relevant information.

Filtering Returns

As your number of returns grows, you can use the available filters to quickly find specific returns and focus on the cases that require your attention.

The available filters include:

  • User Status

  • Condition of the returned product

  • Return Reason

  • Amazon Status

Combined with the search function and date filters, this makes it easy to locate specific returns, identify recurring return reasons, and efficiently manage large numbers of customer returns.
