My Klarna payment was canceled, but the amount was still charged

If your Klarna payment was canceled but the amount still appears on your account, it is usually a temporary authorization made by your bank.

Why does this happen?

During the payment process, the amount is first authorized and temporarily reserved. If the order is not completed, this reservation may still remain for a short time.

Was the money actually charged?

No - in most cases, the amount has not been permanently charged, but only temporarily reserved.

When will I get my money back?

The release is handled automatically by your bank or Klarna. This usually takes:

  • 1–7 business days

  • In rare cases, up to 14 days

What can you do?

  • Wait a few days

  • Check your bank account

  • Contact your bank if needed
