[Ads] Lowering Tier Budgets Below the Standard Minimum

How to lower individual tier budgets down to $1.25/day, and when it makes sense to use it.

Campaigns normally run with a minimum daily budget of $10 per tier. Once a campaign has been live for a while, typically around a week, you can lower individual tier budgets down to as little as $1.25 per day per active tier, which is the platform-fee-inclusive equivalent of $1/day in actual ad spend.

This lets you scale back tiers that aren't performing while keeping your strongest tiers running, instead of pausing the whole campaign. (This currently applies to Credit Wallet–funded campaigns.)

How to lower your tier budget

  1. Open the campaign's Manage budget panel and click Update daily budget.

  2. In the New daily budget dropdown, pick one of the preset amounts, or select Custom to enter a specific amount — anything between your tier minimum and $500.

  3. Choose when the change should apply: Starting next renewal, This billing cycle only, or This cycle and future renewals.

  4. Review the refund estimate, then click Save.

The dropdown's minimum option reflects how many tiers you currently have active — for example, running 3 tiers puts the minimum at $3.75/day ($1.25 × 3). Preset amounts above that start at $15/day and step up from there; for anything in between, use Custom.

What happens when you lower your budget

Choosing This billing cycle only applies the change right away, for the rest of the current cycle. You won't be charged anything, the estimated refund for the unused portion is shown before you confirm, and that amount is credited back to your wallet within a few minutes.

Starting next renewal instead waits until your next cycle to apply the new amount, with no impact on the cycle currently running.

How the per-tier minimum works

Each active tier needs a minimum of $1.25/day. If your target daily budget isn't enough to keep every tier active at that minimum, we'll ask you to turn some tiers off first.

For example: if you're running 3 tiers and want to bring your total daily budget down to $3.75/day, all three tiers can stay on. If you want to go lower than that, you'll need to disable at least one tier to free up the minimum for the others.

Lowering a tier's budget doesn't end your campaign, it just reduces spend on that tier going forward, and you can adjust it again later.

Re-enabling a tier

If you turn a tier back on, we'll check whether your current budget can still cover $1.25/day for every active tier, including the one you're re-enabling. If it can't, you'll be asked to top up credits before the tier goes live again.

When to use this

This works best for campaigns that are already performing well. It's a way to keep a proven tier running at a lower cost rather than pausing it entirely. It isn't intended as a way to keep an underperforming tier alive; if a tier isn't delivering, it's usually better to turn it off and put that budget toward one that is.

FAQs

Can I pick an amount between the minimum and the next preset?
Yes — select Custom in the New daily budget dropdown and enter any amount between your tier minimum and $500.

Does lowering a tier's budget cancel the tier?
No — it stays active, just at the new lower budget. You'd need to disable it separately if you want to stop it entirely.
