[Billing] Understanding the Credit Wallet

The Credit Wallet is a prepaid balance in US dollars for your workspace.

Instead of paying by card for every campaign cycle, you add credits in advance and spend them when you launch or renew campaigns. The Credit Wallet is now fully available across Soundlink. Learn more in the Soundlink Credit Wallet documentation.

What is the Credit Wallet?

The Credit Wallet is a prepaid workspace balance — shared by everyone in your organisation, not tied to a single user account. Instead of charging a card per campaign, new campaigns fund their first cycle from this single pool. You top it up with a one-time card payment (or let Auto-recharge handle it), and those credits are then available to fund campaigns without a recurring card charge for every cycle.

Credits are denominated in US dollars and live at the workspace level. Any team member with access can see the balance and spend from it. The Credit Wallet is available to every Soundlink organisation.

Where to find it

Go to Settings → Credit wallet & payment methods. This single page combines your credit wallet balance, saved payment methods, auto-recharge settings, upcoming renewals, and transaction activity. You'll see:

  • Current balance — available credits right now, with the date last updated

  • Saved payment methods — the payment methods saved to your workspace, including your backup card for top-ups and renewal shortfalls

  • Auto-recharge — settings for automatically topping up your wallet

  • Upcoming renewals — wallet-funded campaigns renewing soon, and whether your current balance covers them

  • Activity — a full log of top-ups and deductions, with the date, event, related campaign (if any), amount, and running balance after each transaction

You can also see your wallet balance when creating a new campaign, or on a wallet-funded campaign's row in your dashboard.

Saved payment methods

You can save multiple payment methods to your workspace. For easy identification, cards will display their last four digits and expiration date, while PayPal accounts will show the linked email address. Each payment method is labeled as either:

  • Active — the card currently used for top-ups, auto-recharge, and backup charges when a renewal costs more than your wallet balance covers

  • Inactive — a saved card that isn't currently in use

Click Add payment method to save a new card, PayPal account, etc., or use the menu next to a saved card to manage it (e.g. set it as your active card or remove it).

Auto-recharge

Auto-recharge automatically tops up your wallet from your active saved card when your balance drops below a threshold, so campaigns keep running without interruption. See Auto-recharge → for full setup steps. Auto-recharge is a setting you control — it isn't automatically switched on just because you have a saved card.

Upcoming renewals

This section lists any wallet-funded campaigns scheduled to renew in the next 7 days, along with the total cost of those renewals, so you can see at a glance whether your current balance covers them before you scale spend. If nothing is renewing soon, it will say so.

How to top up

  1. Go to Settings → Credit wallet & payment methods.

  2. Click Top up wallet.

  3. Choose a preset amount or enter a custom amount.

  4. Select a payment method from the list, then Pay.

Top-ups are one-time card payments, not subscriptions. You only pay when you choose to add credits — or set up Auto-recharge above if you'd rather it happen automatically.

You can also top up without leaving the campaign creation flow — at the wallet-first Review step, a Top up wallet option appears if your balance is too low to cover the first cycle. Completing the top-up brings you straight back to finish creating your campaign. See [Ads] How to Launch Your First Paid Growth Campaign →

What you can do with credits

Once your wallet has a balance, you can use credits in the following ways:

  • Pay for a campaign — new campaigns use a wallet-first checkout: your org balance pays the first cycle when it's sufficient. Add a backup saved card so renewals keep running if credits run short — the card covers shortfalls and top-ups, it isn't a separate pay-by-card path for each campaign.

  • Auto-renew campaigns — wallet campaigns can renew automatically each cycle as long as auto-renew is on. If your balance is short at renewal, your backup card can be charged automatically for the remainder, and Auto-recharge (if enabled) will top up your wallet as well.

  • Adjust a campaign's daily budget — open the campaign and click Manage in Campaign Insights to raise or lower your daily budget, toggle auto-renew, or update your payment method, all without a support ticket. Lowering your budget refunds the unused portion to your wallet. See [Ads] Campaign Top-Up → for the full breakdown.

  • Receive refunds from stopped campaigns — when you stop a campaign early, unused credits for the current cycle are returned to your wallet automatically.

Common questions

Do credits expire?
No — credits do not expire. Your balance carries over until you use it.

Are credits shared across my whole workspace?
Yes. The wallet is at the organisation level, so credits are shared by all team members — not tied to any individual user account.

What happens if my balance runs out before a renewal?
If you've added a backup card, the shortfall can be charged automatically so the renewal still goes through. If you've also enabled Auto-recharge, Soundlink will attempt to top up your wallet from your active payment method first. Without either set up, you'll see a renewal failure alert on your dashboard — top up manually to resume the campaign.

What happens to unused credits when I stop a campaign?
Unused budget for the current cycle is automatically returned to your Credit Wallet — no request needed. See [Ads] How to Stop a Campaign →

Can I get a cash refund instead of credits?
As of June 16, 2026, monetary refunds for stopped campaigns are no longer available per Soundlink's updated Terms & Conditions. All unspent budget is returned exclusively as Credit Wallet balance.

Where did the separate Payment Methods settings page go?
It's been merged into the Credit wallet page. Manage your cards, auto-recharge settings, and wallet balance in one place at Settings → Credit wallet & payment methods.
