Extension: I installed the extension but Taplio can’t detect it.

This guide will help you troubleshoot and resolve issues with the Taplio extension.

As the Taplio X Chrome extension is necessary in order to connect your accounts and use the platform, in the case that you receive any errors indicating that Taplio can't detect the extension, it may prevent you from using the features properly.

To resolve these situations, please follow these steps:

  1. Ensure that the Taplio X Chrome extension is installed on your Google Chrome browser.

  2. Visit the LinkedIn website using a chromium-based browser, so Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge or Brave would be the best choices.

  3. Open the Taplio X extension by clicking on its icon in the top-right corner.

  4. Scroll down and click the "Refresh Taplio Token" button after which you will see the confirmation screen.

  5. After that, please click on the “Force Connect Your Account” button.

  6. If you are logged into Taplio in the same browser, the extension should detect your account and prompt you to confirm the connection.


6. Return to the page where you encountered the error in Taplio and refresh it.

If the issue persists, try uninstalling and reinstalling the Taplio X extension.

To do this, right-click on the Taplio X extension and select “Remove from Chrome.” Then, go back to the Chrome Web Store to reinstall Taplio X. Follow the steps mentioned earlier to reconnect it to your Taplio account.
