Go from a created store to a reviewed product range, a functioning customer flow, and a deliberate launch.
This guide applies to new store administrators in Go, Plus, and Pro, as well as during the trial period. The basic product range, custom pages, languages, payment/shipping methods, and API are available in the current plans. Customer login requires Plus/Pro, and ERP/extended TA has special Pro options. A visible store, payment agreements, and subscription choices are different prerequisites.
1. Create a store and select basic information
If you haven't created a store, you can start with Abicart's free demo. Check the company, contact details, language, and currency in the admin. Choose a plan based on the features you need, not on the assumption that all add-ons are included.
Orders can be placed during the trial period according to Abicart's current information; a purchased subscription is therefore not a universal requirement for the first order. However, the payment method's agreement and activation must be completed.
2. Add a representative product and group
Open Catalogue → Products → New product.
Enter the correct name, text, price/VAT, article number, image, and stock/variant.
Create and link the correct group under Catalogue → Product category.
Preview and check that the product is both visible and can be purchased according to the settings.
3. Choose a design and write the necessary pages
Check the active theme and editor variant under Store design → Themes. A previewed design is not necessarily the store's active theme.
Create information pages under Pages and link them in the correct menu.
Check the terms and conditions, contact methods, delivery information, and applicable digital withdrawal function, as well as the correct public languages.
Check the mobile layout and clear navigation.
The introductory video is a supplement that provides an overview. Older menu names in the video may differ from the current admin; use the specific paths in the text and the editor you actually see.
4. Configure payment, shipping, and email
Open Settings → Payment methods. Connect provider agreements and check the correct test/live environment, as well as customer type, country, and currency.
Open Settings → Shipping and check delivery methods, tariff, weight, countries, and any pickup point selection.
Open Settings → Email. Check the sender/recipient and the correct server/domain settings.
5. Check the domain and the entire customer journey
Check your own domain and the domain/SEO choices that apply to your store. A created store, a connected domain, and an activated payment method are separate results. A payment agreement may require your own domain even if the demo store can already be opened.
Follow a customer's path from the correct group to the product, shopping cart, and checkout.
Check the total price, VAT, shipping, available payment options, and terms and conditions.
Open the guide for the payment method you have connected and follow its test instructions. For separate Klarna Payments, the Klarna Payments guide explains test mode, Playground credentials, and how to check the order and payment reference. Use the provider's designated test account and test data when a test mode is supported. Keep test and live credentials separate. If your method has no test instructions, ask the provider or Abicart customer service to confirm a safe test procedure before completing a purchase. A live order can result in a real reservation or charge. An internal Paid status is not proof of payment: check the Abicart order and its matching transaction in the provider's test environment.
Check the order confirmation and the intended order management. End/reset a permitted test according to the provider's rules.
Make the store visible/launch only when the intended customer flow is complete and check the regular public address.
Quick start
Check company, language, currency, and feature availability.
Add product, group, design, and pages.
Configure payment, shipping, email, and domain.
Check the entire customer journey and launch deliberately.
Subscription and access
The basic start applies to Go, Plus, and Pro, as well as the trial period. Customer login, ERP, and extended TA have their own conditions. A trial period or plan access does not replace an approved payment/shipping agreement or a checked customer flow.
