Set up an Event page

Dates, venue, check-in window, capacity and waitlist.

Event pages add the details an event needs: when, where, how many, and when people can check in.

In person or virtual

Pick one. In person asks for an address; virtual asks for a join link. Either way you can also mark it as a campus event, which adds a school picker — and for in-person events, a venue or booth field.

Date, time and timezone

Set the date and time; the timezone defaults to the venue’s local time. Everyone sees times in their own timezone.

Check-in window

The period when people can actually check in — usually starting shortly before the event. Outside this window the check-in button isn’t available.

Capacity and waitlist

Set a cap and Abode switches the button to Join waitlist once you’re full. If someone’s RSVP is canceled, the next person on the waitlist takes the spot automatically.

Duplicating an event

Duplicating an Event page keeps it an Event page and carries over the venue, format and settings. The date and time reset, so you can’t accidentally reuse last year’s.
