How RSVP works

What someone sees when they RSVP, and how to handle changes.

RSVP is the Event-page version of Follow — a commitment to turn up, not just a request for updates.

No account needed

Someone opens your public event link, taps RSVP, and fills in the form. No Abode account, no password.

What they see next

A confirmation, and then the event details whenever they come back. Once the check-in window opens, the button becomes Check In — or Open Event for a virtual event, which opens the join link and checks them in at the same time.

Changing their mind

The button becomes UnRSVP after they’ve RSVP’d. Withdrawing frees their spot and promotes the next person on the waitlist.

If you remove someone

You can remove an attendee from the Talent list. They get a distinct Removed status, kept for your records but out of your active counts, and by default they’re emailed a cancellation notice — you can turn that off, and add a note.
