Summary
This article covers everything you can do with an individual lead or a group of leads — from reviewing project context in the sidebar, to assigning reps, to archiving or completing leads in bulk.
Opening a Lead
Click any lead card on the pipeline board to open the lead sidebar. The sidebar is your full view of that lead — who the architect is, what they're working on, and what actions your team has taken.
What You'll See in the Sidebar
The sidebar surfaces the following information, depending on the lead's stage and source:
Always visible:
Company name and location
Firm region
Lead source (read-only)
Pipeline stage
Lead status (Active, Complete, or Archived)
Assigned manufacturer rep
Product on Acelab (read-only)
Available when project data exists (Promotion, Recommendation, Selection stages):
Project name
Project type
Project location
Project phase
Project budget
Project size (SF)
Product category
Actions available from the sidebar:
Change the pipeline stage
Assign or reassign a manufacturer rep
Set the lead status (Active or Archived)
Open the Notes tab
Navigate to a linked conversation (if one exists)
Note: Some fields are read-only for leads generated automatically by architect activity. Fields are fully editable on leads your team creates manually.
Editing Lead Details
For manually created leads, most fields in the sidebar are editable — including project name, type, location, phase, budget, size, and product category. This is useful when you've had an offline conversation or know details about a project that aren't yet reflected in the architect's Acelab activity.
To edit a field, click into it directly in the sidebar. Changes save automatically.
For automatically generated leads, contact details and project data are pulled from the architect's Acelab activity and are not editable. You can still update the pipeline stage, assigned rep, lead status, and notes.
Assigning a Rep
To assign a manufacturer rep to a lead:
Open the lead card to view the sidebar.
Click the Assigned Rep field.
Select a team member from the dropdown.
Adding Notes
The Notes tab in the lead sidebar lets your team record internal context, flag follow-up items, or tag teammates.
To add a note:
Open the lead card.
Click the Notes tab at the top of the sidebar.
Click on Add Note to add a text note and attachment. Click on Add Attachment to only add an attachment.
Type your note and add any attachment
Click Save to complete your note.
Notes and attachments are visible to all team members with dashboard access. You can also edit your note by clicking on the three dot menu next to your note.
Moving Leads Between Stages
There are two ways to move a lead to a different pipeline stage:
Drag and drop — Drag the lead card to the target column
Sidebar — Open the lead and change the Stage field in the sidebar
Marking Leads as Complete
Complete is a pipeline stage that signals a lead has run its course. Move leads there when an opportunity has closed — won, lost, or otherwise resolved.
From the sidebar: Change the Stage field to Complete
From the board: Drag the card to the Complete column
In bulk: Select leads and choose Mark As Complete
Archiving Leads
Archiving removes a lead from your active pipeline view. Use it for leads that are no longer relevant but that you don't want to delete.
Archived leads are hidden from the active pipeline. An option to view and restore archived leads is coming soon.
Adding a Manual Lead
You can create a lead manually for an architect or firm that isn't yet in your pipeline.
Click + Add Lead at the top of any pipeline column.
Enter the company name and click Save.
The lead sidebar will open — fill in any additional details you have.
Manual leads support full project field editing from the start.
