I Don't Have My OMSAS ID Yet, What Should I Do?

Reserving a Casper test without your OMSAS ID Number

Updated today

To book your Casper test or add programs to your distribution list, you generally need to provide all required student or application ID numbers. These IDs are typically issued by the programs or application portals once you’ve completed certain steps in the application process.

What if You Don’t Have Your OMSAS ID Yet?

We understand that some applicants to Ontario medical schools may want to take the Casper test before the OMSAS application portal opens. In that case, you may not have your OMSAS ID yet.

If that applies to you, you can still reserve your Casper test using a temporary ID number.

How to Reserve Your Test with a Temporary ID

When asked for your 6-digit OMSAS ID, enter: 800000 (temporary placeholder)

Important: Update Your ID When You Receive It

Once you receive your actual OMSAS ID, you must update it in your Acuity Insights account. Not updating your ID could result in your Casper test scores not being sent to the correct programs.

How to Update Your OMSAS ID

  1. Sign in to your Acuity Insights account.

  2. Click your name in the top right corner.

  3. Go to Account > IDs tab.

  4. Look for a blue pencil icon next to the OMSAS ID.

  5. Click the pencil to edit and enter your correct OMSAS ID.

If you do not see the pencil icon, contact us:

What Happens After You Update Your ID?

Once your ID is updated, the new information will be shared with your selected programs within 24 hours. You do not need to take any further action.
