Data Integration Manual - Google Analytics

The Data Integration system at AdUp makes it super easy to link your Google Analytics data directly into your dashboard for real-time tracking, better insights, and smoother performance evaluations.

By integrating Google Analytics, you unlock powerful metrics to support AI-powered optimization across your funnel. This manual guides you step-by-step on how to connect your Google Analytics Data API to AdUp via data integration (MCP).


Step 1: Access the Data Integration Dashboard

Log in to your AdUp Dashboard.

Go to:

Data Integration (MCP) > Explore MCP Servers


Step 2: Generate Google Analytics Credentials

Follow these instructions to create the necessary credentials via Google Cloud Console:

To enable integration, simply grant access to our service account:

How to do it:
Open your Google Analytics account
Go to Admin > Property Settings > Access control for property
Click the β€œ+” button β†’ β€œAdd user”
Paste the email: gachat@adup-chat-with-ga.iam.gserviceaccount.com
Assign the "Analyst" role
Click Add

Step 3: Copy Your GA4 Property ID

  1. In Google Analytics, go to:
    ​ Admin > Property > Property Settings
    ​

  2. Copy the Property ID

This is what you'll enter into the AdUp dashboard in the next step.

Step 4: Connect to AdUp DI

Go back to your AdUp Dashboard

Click on the Google Analytics box under MCP

A popup will appear like this:

Enter the following fields:

  1. Paste the GA Property ID you copied from Google Analytics
    (e.g., 311234567) into the field labeled "Ga Property Id"

  2. Click Connect MCP

Step 5: You're Connected!

Once the integration is successful, the GA card will show:

🟒 Connected: Click to manage connection

You can now:

  • πŸ—‘οΈ Delete MCP
    ​

  • πŸ”„ Update Credentials
    ​

  • 🚦 Toggle Tracking On/Off

  • No need to generate any JSON key or create service accounts β€” AdUp handles that via our central analytics agent.

  • Make sure the correct Property ID is added, and that access is granted to gachat@adup-chat-with-ga.iam.gserviceaccount.com.

  • You can always revisit the GA Property Settings to confirm your Property ID or access settings
