Manual

Step 1: Access the Data integration dash board

  1. Log in to your dashboard.

  1. Navigate to:
Data Integration (MCP) > Explore MCP Server

Step 2: Connect Shopify

  1. Click on the Shopify box.

A popup will appear titled “Manage Shopify MCP Connection.”

Fill in the details:

Shopify Access Token → Paste your generated Shopify access token.

🔐 How to Generate Your Shopify Access Token:

1. Log into Shopify Admin

Go to your store’s admin panel:
https://your-store-name.myshopify.com/admin

2. Enable App Development (if not already enabled)

  • In the left sidebar, click on “settings”

  • Scroll down and click “Apps and sales channel”

  • and then click "develop apps" on the right side corner

  • If prompted, click “Allow custom app development” and confirm.

3. Create a New Custom App

  • Click “Create an app”

  • Give your app a name (e.g., AdUp Integration)

  • Assign an app developer (can be your email or whoever manages integrations)

  • Click “Create app”

4. Set API Permissions

  • Go to the “Configuration” tab

  • Under Admin API access scopes, click “Configure”

  • Select the scopes you need, such as:

    • read_orders

    • read_products

    • read_customers

    • Any other relevant scopes for your integration

  • Click “Save”

5. Install the App

  • After saving the scopes, go back to the app overview

  • Click “Install app”

  • Confirm the installation

6. Get Your Admin API Access Token

  • After installation, go to the “API credentials” tab

  • Under Access tokens, click “Reveal token once”

  • Copy and securely store this token – you will not be able to view it again!

⚠️ If you lose the token, you’ll need to uninstall and recreate the app to generate a new one.

Myshopify admin → Paste your generated Myshopify admin.

🔍 How to Find It:

  1. Log into your Shopify Admin panel.

  2. Look at the address bar of your browser — it will be something like:
    **your-store-name.myshopify.com**/admin

  3. Your Shopify domain is the part before /admin — for example:
    your-store-name.myshopify.com

What to Enter:

Paste that full domain (without /admin), e.g.
**cool-tea-shop.myshopify.com**

Don’t use your custom domain like coolteashop.com here — it must be the Shopify-assigned .myshopify.com domain.

✅ Once connected, the Shopify box will show:

Connected: Click to manage connection

🧠 Tips & Reminders:

  • Make sure your Shopify Access Token and Stripe Secret Key are correct and active.

  • If you’re unsure how to get your tokens/keys, contact our support team or refer to our token generation guides.
