Step 1: Set Up Your Ad Campaign
Log in to your TikTok Ads Manager
Click "Campaign" and then "Create"
Select your advertising objective (e.g., Traffic, Conversions, App Install)
Name your campaign
Choose your budget type:
For CBO: Select "Campaign Budget Optimization" and set your daily or
lifetime budget
For ABO: Select "Ad Group Budget Optimization" (set budgets at the ad
group level later)
Step 2: Configure Your Ad Group
Define your target audience (age, gender, location, interests)
Set placement (automatic or manual)
If using ABO, set your ad group budget and schedule now
Select your bidding strategy
Choose optimization goals (conversions, clicks, etc.)
Step 3: Create Your Ad
Select "Spark Ads" as your ad format
For Spark Ads, you have two options:
Select "Use Existing Posts" to promote content already on your TikTok account
Use "Create a New Ad" to create fresh content
If using existing posts:
Connect your TikTok account
Select the posts you want to promote
If creating new ads:
Upload your video content
Add your ad text
Create your call-to-action
Step 4: Set Up Spark Ads
Add landing page URL or app download link
Select your call-to-action button
Preview your ad to ensure everything looks correct
