When are sessions recorded? AI Note-taker consent explained

Sessions are only auto-recorded when everyone has explicitly opted in. Here's exactly how consent works.

Recording on ADPList is consent-first. Here's exactly when a session is recorded, and when it never is.

The rule

A session is only recorded automatically when every participant has explicitly turned the AI Note-taker on in Settings, under AI Notes.

  • If anyone has turned it off, the session is not recorded.

  • If anyone simply never touched the setting, the session is not recorded. A default or unset preference never counts as consent.

  • One person's opt-out stops recording for the whole room.

  • Group sessions are never recorded automatically, regardless of settings.

Changing your setting

Go to Settings, open AI Notes, and toggle the AI Note-taker on or off at any time. Turning it off also stops future sessions from being transcribed and summarised into your Journal; your existing Journals are unaffected.
