My long-term/recurring sessions are double booked!

Do you see that your recurring sessions are booked at the same time and on the same date? We likely have an explanation for that!

Updated over 7 months ago

Currently, this is a known and expected behavior for our recurring sessions.

Only the first session is expected to follow and honor blocked dates or blocked calendar slots. Subsequent sessions of a recurring session (session 2 and beyond) do not honor these blocks.

So it's likely that if you have a recurring session, you may get a bookings list that may look like this:

  • A recurring session 1 on June 24, 2024, at 4:30 PM with Elizabeth Bennet.

  • A recurring session 2 on June 24, 2024, at 4:30 PM with Fitzwilliam Darcy.

  • A recurring session 3 on June 24, 2024, at 4:30 PM with Charles Bingley.

Oh no! It looks like you've got 3 different mentees in one slot, all at different stages of the recurring sessions. This happens because ADPList will only align your availability/blocked dates on the first session. The subsequent sessions will get automatically booked on the same day (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, etc.) and at the same time as the first chosen session even though there may already be sessions booked on those slots. ADPList will automatically create and send bookings for the subsequent sessions depending on the frequency set by the mentor (every week, every 2 weeks, etc.) regardless of the presence of bookings, blockouts, or booking limits.

At the moment, we expect the mentors to manually rebook and reconcile these scheduling issues with their mentees as we can imagine that both of you need to check availability against one another.
