Experience the next evolution of storytelling with the Video Story Module, designed to bring the captivating format of Instagram-like stories to life through seamless video content. This innovative tool allows you to create dynamic narratives using a single video split into parts, offering the same interactive functionality as traditional story modules. Users can effortlessly skip through different segments of the video, each serving as a compelling chapter in your story.

Use cases

  • Display your video in a familiar format

  • Allow the user to see the flow of video content and skip/rewind to their liking

Example

This example shows the video story module in action, with the single video being split by 4 points of interests.

As with all examples, you can request us to copy them over to your company so you can look at how they are built in detail.

Video settings

You can drop a video into the dropzone and change settings regarding its' positioning and sizing, plus the option to play either muted or unmuted as a first step.

Progress bar settings

You can change how the progress bar on top of the story will look like with these three settings. The first two fields allow you to change the active & inactive RGBA colors of the progress bars, while the slider will let you change the height of the progress bar.

Video timestamps

You can add timestamps here. The timestamps (given in ms) describe at which point another progress bar part will start. The bin icon on the right side deletes timestamps, while the button on the bottom adds new ones.

Video controls settings

The video story offers some of the video controls options that the normal video module offers as well. You can upload custom volume & mute buttons on the top, change the button alignment and change the colors of the icons.

Lastly, you can also change the visibility of the volume button.

Properties & Clickout

As for the Background module, the Video Story module allows you to change different properties like the opacity seperately in the "Properties" tab.

Also, you can set up a clickout link for the Video Story module as usual.

Interactions

The Video Story offers all standard triggers & actions that the Background module offers as well. Furthermore, the Video Story module offers:

Triggers

  • Story finished = Triggers when the end of the video has been reached

  • Story skip left = Triggers when a user skips left (previous timestamp)

  • Story skip right = Triggers when a user skips right (next timestamp)

  • On step x = Is created for each scene and triggers when the user sees it

Actions for other modules

The Video Story enables no other actions for other modules.
