Engage your audience and gather valuable insights with the Poll Module, a dynamic slider-based tool designed to facilitate interactive voting experiences. With this module, users can effortlessly choose between two options by sliding a toggle left or right, expressing their preferences in real-time. Meanwhile, you can display the overall percentage for each vote, providing instant feedback on the community's opinions.

Use cases

  • Engage the user by making them express their opinion

  • Give instant feedback that reflects how people voted overall, making the user think about their vote

Example

This example shows the poll module in action, with the result showing how many people voted for each side, plus a redirect to a scene based on your choice.

As with all examples, you can request us to copy them over to your company so you can look at how they are built in detail.

Initial slider animation

This setting enables/disables the initial animation that shows that the slider can be moved as soon as the poll is displayed.

Snapping

The snapping feature will automatically snap the slider thumb to the right/left if the user let it go somewhere in that general direction. If it's disabled, the thumb will stay where the user left it, but the vote will still count as usual.

Lock slider

This feature will lock the slider as soon as the user has released it, so he can't vote multiple times.

Show poll results

When this is enabled, two typos that you can find in the Layers tab will be shown, which you can style to your liking. These typos can show the percentage of users that have voted for either option, as soon as the user has voted.

Reset results

Using this button will reset the results that are currently saved for this creative. Beware of doing this for a running campaign (There is a safety modal to warn you of this action)!

Timeout

The timeout setting can change the amount of time needed to trigger the poll's timeout event, which can be used to change scene to an endcard for example.

Slider settings

Here, you can add an asset for both the Slider bar and the Slider thumb. You can position the slider thumb in relation to the rest via the Background position options and change the slider bar padding so your thumb looks like it's on the bar correctly in the final result.

If you're confused about the position/size of your slider/thumb, it's likely that the "Slider bar", which is a child module of the "Poll" module in the Layers tab isn't sized correctly.

You can fix this by clicking on it in the Layers tab and changing its' dimensions via the draggable corners or the properties tab.

It is recommended to do this first after adding the assets.

Once you have added the assets, the image sizing option for the slider bar will appear, which can be useful depending on the format of your slider bar, so it fits the thumb. Also, the "Slider image size" option will appear, which you can use after you changed the slider bar dimensions to fine-adjust the size of the slider thumb.

Properties & Clickout

As for the Background module, the Poll module allows you to change different properties like the opacity seperately in the "Properties" tab.

Also, you can set up a clickout link for the Poll module as usual.

Interactions

The Poll offers all standard triggers & actions that the Background module offers as well. Furthermore, the Poll module offers:

Triggers

  • Released = Triggers as soon as the user releases the slider thumb, no matter the choice he makes

  • Left choice = Triggers when a user has chosen the left side

  • Right choice = Triggers when a user has chosen the right side

  • Timeout = Triggers when the module's timeout duration has been reached

  • Sliding left = Triggers whenever the user is sliding the thumb in the left direction

  • Sliding right = Triggers whenever the user is sliding the thumb in the right direction

Actions for other modules

The poll module offers no specific actions to be triggered through other modules.
