Introduction to Aesthetic Nurse Software - Settings

An introduction on the basic areas of settings you need to set up first to get ANS up and running.

Welcome to the world of Aesthetic Nurse Software!

In this article we will guide you through how to get started with your new software and get the fundamental elements you need set up to start using ANS in your clinic.

To get started with ANS, follow these four simple steps in your settings area. Alternatively, watch our quick video on how to set up your settings.


Clinic Settings

To be able to choose the location an appointment is based at, you will need to add a clinic into the software.

Step 1 :

Head to settings from the main menu.

Step 2 :

In settings, head to clinic, under the heading personal.

Step 3 :

Click 'New Clinic' button.

Step 4 :

Enter your clinic details including your clinic name and address. Once happy, select ' Save Details'.

The commison section can be used to document if the clinic is taking a set amount from your working days. If this is not applicable, you can enter a '0' into this box.

Step 5 :

Your clinic will now appear in the software ready for appointments to be booked.

If you work at multiple clinics, you will need to add all locations into the software, just repeat the process again.


Practitioner Settings

To be able to book an appointment and document your treatment notes, you will need to add practitioners into the software.

Step 1:

Head to settings from the main menu.

Step 2 :

In settings , head to practitioner, under the heading people.

Step 3 :

Click 'New Practitioner' button.

Step 4 :

Enter your details into the practitoner, including your name, medical pin, clinic and treatments. Once happy, hit 'Save Details'

If you do any new treatments to the software, make sure to add them to your practitioner.

Step 5 :

Your practitioner will now appear in the software ready to be booked for appointments.

If you need to add multiple practitioners onto your software, just repeat this process.


Product Settings

To be able to document your treatments successfully, you will need to add all the products you use within your clinic to the software.

Step 1 :

Head to settings from the main menu.

Step 2 :

In setting, head to treatment products, under the heading products.

Step 3 :

Click 'New Product' button.

Step 4 :

Enter the details of your product into this section, including brand, product name and cost. Once happy, hit 'Save Details'.

To add a new brand to the software, you can free type into the brand section and hit ENTER to save. Also,the cost at this stage, is how much it costs you as a practitioner to purchase the product.

Step 5 :

Your product will now appear under the brand within the software. This will be available for treatment documentation under the treatment details section.



Treatments Settings

To be able to book a treatment appointment, you will just need to add all treatments that you perform at your clinic into the software.

Step 1 :

Head to settings from the main menu.

Step 2 :

In settings, head to treatments under the heading products.

Step 3 :

Click 'New Treatment' button.

Step 4 :

Enter the details of your treatment, including treatment type, treatment name, price, length and forms if you wish for them to be sent to patients before an appointment. Once happy, hit 'Save Details'

If you wish to add a new treatment type, you are able to free type in the box and hit ENTER to create a new category.

Step 5 :

Your treatment will now show within the software and is now able to be booked in the diary.

That is your basic set up of the software complete. With these settings added, you will be able to book appointments in the diary and complete your treatment documentation.
