Adding An Appointment From The Diary

Learn how to add an appointment into ANS from the diary area.

This article shows you how to add an appointment into ANS from the diary area of the software. An appointment needs to be within the software for our treatment documentation to be produced.

Step 1 :

From the main menu screen, head to diary.

Step 2 :

This will take you into the month view of the diary, to enter the day view to book an appointment select the date via the number.

Step 3 :

On the day view, click the new appointment button.

Step 4 :

A box will then appear allowing you to fill in your appointment details. Start with updating the appointment date.

Step 5 :

You can then update the time of the appointment using our timepicker.

Step 6 :

Next, you can either choose an exsisting patient from the drop down list or create a new patient.

If you are creating a new patient, the details you will need are their first name, surname, telephone number and email address.

Everything else is optional and can be updated when the patient comes into clinic.

Step 7 :

Your next option is to choose the clinc and practitioner for the appointment.

If a clinic or practitioner is not present in the drop down, you will just need to add these into the software visit our additional guides for help on this.

Step 8 :

Select the type of appointment you want to book into the diary for this patient.

The type of appointment selected will determine what clinical pathway is created for your treatment documentation.

Step 9 :

Your next step is to choose if you wish to link the appointment to any previous appointments.

This is an optional area for booking an appointment. This section works by allowing practitoners to link consultations, treatments and reviews toegther fror one single clinical documentation pathway. To learn more about this feature head to our specific guide on this section.

Step 10 :

Your next option is to then choose the treatment and specific treatment type the patient is being booked in for.

If a treatment is not present in this section that needs to be booked into your diary, you will just need to add this into your treatment settings in ANS head to our specific guide on this feature.

Step 11 :

You can then choose to add a colour to your appointment, add any notes you need to the appointment and choose if you would like a confirmation to be sent to the patient via email or text message.

The colour of the appointment and confirmation can be automated in your settings of the software.

Step 12 :

Finally, once happy with the appointment information hit submit.

Step 13 :

Your new appointment will then appear in your diary ready to see your patient and complete your treatment documentation.
