Incident reporting and procedures are crucial for maintaining safety, compliance, and operational efficiency in any organization. They serve as a systematic approach to documenting and addressing unexpected events or deviations from standard practices, allowing for timely corrective actions and preventing recurrence. Proper incident reporting ensures that issues are recognized, investigated, and resolved, providing valuable data that can be analysed to identify trends and mitigate risks.
