Scheduling sits at the core of the work process for any company. It is important for a manager with a busy calendar to efficiently manage the work schedule without compromising on the smooth operations of the company.
Ajeero scheduling calendar offers you loads of features through which you can work like a smart manager. You can manage multiple shifts in one go, search faster, add recurring shifts, and more.
This article offers you some tips and tricks for scheduling efficiency.
1. Publish, unassign, and delete multiple shifts
Shifts are selectable. You can select multiple shifts and perform various actions simultaneously on all the shifts. Once you select the shifts, a “selected” button will appear at the top. Click the button to see available actions.
2. Copy, paste, and drag multiple shifts
Another great feature of the calendar is the drag feature. You can quickly drag single or multiple shifts on different dates and also assign them to the employees. To drag multiple shifts, select the shifts and drag them to the date or staff you want.
When dragging to a different date, the system may give you a warning. Click on “Yes” to change the date. The published shift will become unpublished.
3. Add identical multiple shifts at once
When creating a new shift, you can add single or multiple shifts. Click on the “Repeat” to see the options. You can use a combination of rules to add identical multiple shifts.
4. Adding an open shift in 1 click
On the schedule calendar, click on the date box in the open shift row. If the calendar is populated and do not see a space to click on the date box, simply switch to the “Week” schedule and hover over a shift. Click on the “+” sign to create an open shift.
5. Quick shifts search
Having hundreds or even thousands of shifts make it more difficult and time-consuming to find the right one. Shift filtering options make it easy to find the relevant shifts.
Select and remove any filter criteria, such as Client, Sites, Positions, or any other criteria from the list. If you tick the checkbox “only staff has shift”, it will only show shifts that are assigned to staff.
6. Filling open shifts faster
If you have open shifts you want to fill faster, push notifications might help you achieve it. Employees will receive push notifications for open shifts, and they can see the shift and apply immediately.
Employees will only receive notifications if they have enabled the notifications on their profile.
7. Solution for recurring shifts — shift patterns
If you have recurring shifts and locations that need staff all the time, the shift pattern is the way to go. It will not only save time but optimize your scheduling.
To access patterns, hover over Schedule from the main menu and select “Pattern”. On the Patterns page, you can see the existing patterns or create new ones.
This article will help you get started with patterns.
