Akada Portal: Everything You Need to Know

Whether you're logging in for the first time or need a quick refresher, this guide has you covered. From resetting your password and managing payments to updating account details and registering for classes, you’ll find clear answers to the most common questions about using Akada Portal.

Where do I find Akada Portal?

You will find Akada Portal in both the App Store and Google Play Store, linked below. If you prefer the browser experience, you can access it here: https://portal.akadadance.com/auth.

Additionally, your studio has a unique link that can be found on its website.

Tip: Akada Portal can be downloaded as a desktop app from compatible browsers. Look for the download or open in app icons in your browser's URL field.

How do I access my information? Do I need to create a new account?

  1. If you have used Akada's legacy parent portal, you will log in to Akada Portal using the same email address and password as always.

  2. If you already have an account with your studio but have never logged in, you don't need to create a new account. You'll need to ask the studio to send you an account activation email. This email will include a unique link that you will use to set your password. Once set, you can download the app and log in using your email address and that password.

  3. If you do not have an account with a studio and want to sign up, you can create an account from scratch. However, this must be done from the studio's unique link. You should be able to find it on their website. New accounts can not be created from the mobile app.

How do I reset my password?

If you don't know your password, use the "Forgot Password?" link found on the Akada Portal login screen.

If you know you're password and want to update it, you can do that by logging into Akada Portal, clicking the menu button, and selecting Account Settings. You'll find a reset button there.

What if I have an account with another studio that uses Akada?

If you've set up your parent account with the same email and password as your previous studio, you'll be prompted to select the studio you want to log into. You can set a default studio from that prompt.

How do I update my account information?

You can update your contact information by clicking the Menu button in the app and selecting Account Settings.

Note: The studio has control over what pieces of information customers are allowed to update, so this will vary from studio to studio.

How do I update my credit card?

You can update your credit card information by clicking the Menu button in the app and selecting Payment Settings.

Note: Some studios do not allow editing or updating credit card information.

How do I subscribe to text messages?

Log in to Akada Portal, click the Menu button, and then select Account Settings. Next, click Edit in the Personal Details section. There you will find the box to subscribe to text messages.

Tip: You can also opt in to your studio's text messages by texting the word Start to their texting number.

How do I view and reply to messages in the app?

Log in to Akada Portal. If you're studio has enabled the Messages feature, you'll find the messages icon at the bottom of the screen in the mobile app.

How do I pay online?

  1. Log in to Akada Portal and click the Billing icon at the bottom of the app.

  2. On the Billing screen, click the Pay Total Owed button or check the box next to the charge you want to pay and then click Pay Selected.

  3. Confirm the total and click Next.

  4. Check or enter your payment method and click Confirm.

How do I add a student?

Once logged into the app, click the menu button located at the bottom and then click Students. From the Students screen, click the Add Student button at the top. Now fill out the information as required by your studio.

How do I register for classes?

  1. Log in to Akada Portal.

  2. Click on the Register button at the bottom of the screen.

  3. If you're missing any information that the studio requires, you will be prompted to add it.

  4. If all required info is present, the class screen will appear.

    1. You can use the search bar to search for classes.

    2. You can use the filter button, located in the search bar, to filter and sort the class list and change between sessions.

  5. Click the "Request Class" button to select your student's classes.

  6. Click the Finish when done.

Where do I find the studio policies?

Click the menu button at the bottom of the screen, and you'll find the studio polices listed in the options.
