Post Tuition Charges (Modern screen)

Save time by posting tuition charges for an entire billing frequency in one step. Akada pulls each account's tuition amount and adds a corresponding charge to the account transaction screen. Complete step-by-step instructions are included in this article.

Posting Tuition Charges

To Post Tuition Charges:

  • Using the main menu on the left, scroll to Financial, click Post Charges, and then Tuition.

  • Click to expand the Charge Options.

  • Choose the billing frequency, set the desired date, and Description.

  • Check the boxes for any additional options (detailed below).

  • Use the dropdown menu to include either a preassigned Account or Student fee.

  • Click Review Charges.

  • After reviewing, click Post Charges.

Additional Options:

  • Apply prior open payments/credits to this charge - Select this option to allow customers to pay the tuition charge online through their parent account.

  • Allow accounts to pay this charge online – Select this option to allow customers to pay the tuition charge online through their parent account.

  • Do not use any assigned discounts - Select this option to ignore any discounts assigned to the account or student.

  • Display accounts with $0 tuition charges - Clicking this will display any accounts with a $0.00 tuition in your posting preview.

Posting History

To Review or Delete Prior Tuition Postings:

  • Once on the Post Tuition screen, click to expand the Posting History section.

  • Use the dropdown menu to change the view to Current Postings, Deleted, or All.

  • To delete a current posting, use the purple action menu on the right side of the grid (you will be prompted to enter your Login password).
