Entering a Payment Using a Credit Card

Akada Online gives you the ability to enter a credit card payment using a card that has been stored on file or using a new card. This article will cover both of those options.

Entering a Payment Using a New Credit Card:

  • Using the search function or the account list select the account. If you access the account from the account list you can select enter payment using the arrow to the right of the customer name to go directly to the payment page.

  • If you have opted to go to the account information page, select Payment on the far right to access the payment page.

  • Enter the payment date.

  • Choose Credit Card from the type menu.

  • Enter the Payment Amount.

  • Enter the CC number, Expiration Date, and CVV (optional).*

  • Use the Save Card drop-down if the customer would like you to save the card for future use.

  • Click the enter payment button.

  • You will then be directed to the apply payment screen.

  • Apply the payment to the correct charge.

  • You may also print or email your customer their receipt from this page.

*If you have a card reader use the entry Mode drop-down to select Swipe and then run the card through your reader. The information should automatically populate into the correct fields.

Entering a Payment Using a Saved Credit Card:

  • Using the search function or the account list select the account. If you access the account from the account list you can select enter payment using the arrow to the right of the customer name to go directly to the payment page.

  • If you have opted to go to the account information page, select Payment on the far right to access the payment page.

  • Enter the payment date.

  • Use the Entry drop-down and select Saved

  • Enter the Payment Amount.

  • Click the Enter Payment button.

  • You will then be directed to the apply payment screen.

  • Apply the payment to the correct charge.

  • You may also print or email your customer their receipt from this page.
