Apply on Thrive allows employers to receive resumes directly from job seekers on Thrive. Job seekers can submit their resumes for a role, and employers can view them under the Applied status within that role’s Pipeline.
How to use it:
Before jobseekers can apply, you'll need a job posting live on Thrive (see How do I create a job post? for step-by-step instructions).
Once your posting is published, jobseekers with a Thrive account can find it on the job board and submit their resume directly using the Apply button.
How does it work with Pipelines?
When a jobseeker applies, their application doesn't just disappear into an inbox. It lands directly in the Applied tab of the Pipeline tied to that job posting (found under the Pipelines tab in the Thrive portal, under the Talent Exchange dropdown on the left-hand side menu), no manual action needed on your end. If you haven't created a Pipeline for the role yet, don't worry, publishing a job posting automatically creates one for it.
Each Pipeline represents a single role you're hiring for and organizes all associated candidates in one place. Within a Pipeline, candidates are grouped under several tabs based on where they are in your hiring process:
Candidate Match – Candidates the system has matched to your posting
Saved – Candidates you've saved for later review
Applied – Candidates who have submitted an application directly through Thrive
Contacted – Candidates you've reached out to
Follow up – Candidates you're following up with
Hired – Candidates you've hired for the role
Note: The Applied status only appears when Apply on Thrive is selected in the pipeline’s assigned job post.
You can also view Rejected Candidates separately.
From within a Pipeline, you can search for additional candidates, view individual profiles, contact a candidate, mark them for follow-up, reject a candidate, or mark someone as hired, all from the same view.
What happens when a jobseeker applies?
Unlike candidates you find through Candidate Match or while browsing Candidate Search (where profiles are name-blind and contact details stay hidden until the candidate either applies directly or responds to your outreach), candidates who have applied directly to your posting through Apply on Thrive are not anonymized from the start. Once a candidate appears under Applied, you'll be able to see their name and contact information right away, and you can reach out to them in one of two ways:
Contact directly using the email address provided on their profile.
Use the built-in Email Builder by selecting Contact from the candidate's menu, which opens the Email Builder so you can draft and send a message without leaving Thrive. Once sent, the candidate automatically moves to the Contacted tab.
This makes it easy to move quickly from application to outreach without having to track candidates down elsewhere.
