Smart trigger uses an AI-powered model to trigger your popup a second time within a session for visitors who are identified as most likely to convert. It uses information about the user and high-intent signals to determine the best time to show the popup again to the user.

On average, smart triggering instantly adds 10% – 30% more signups without requiring any changes to your popup design.

How to set it up

Enabling Smart Triggering takes just a few clicks:

1. Go to your popup editor for the campaign where you want to enable Smart Triggering.

2. On the right sidebar, click the “+ Trigger” button.

3. Select “Smart Trigger” from the menu.

4. Click “Publish” in the top right corner of the editor to push your changes live.

✅ That's it! Once published, Smart trigger will work automatically on your popup, showing it again for high-intent users while respecting your campaign’s targeting rules.

Recommended default setup

Most brands enable Smart Triggering on their primary page-load popup alongside a regular time delay trigger (e.g., 2 seconds on page load) to maximize first-touch signups while re-engaging qualified visitors during the same session.

That’s it!

You’re now set up to capture more high-quality signups automatically using Alia’s Smart trigger, helping you drive more revenue from your popups without additional manual work.
