Setting Up Slack Notifications for your popups
Learn how to connect Slack to Alia so your team can receive real-time notifications for campaigns, integrations, A/B tests, and more.
Before You Begin
Make sure you have:
Access to your Alia account
Permission to install apps or integrations in your Slack workspace
A Slack workspace where you’d like notifications delivered
Step 1: Open Notification Settings in Alia
Log in to your Shopify account and navigate to the Alia app:
Within the app sidebar locate Settings
From the settings page go to to the notifications tab.
You’ll be able to manage notification subscriptions and connected integrations.
Step 2: Add a New Slack Subscription
Click Add Subscription to begin connecting Slack.
You’ll be prompted to authorize the Slack integration and choose the Slack workspace where notifications should be sent.
Once connected, Alia will be able to send notifications directly into your selected Slack channels or even threads within them.
Step 3: Choose Notification Topics
After connecting Slack, select which notifications you want to receive.
Available notification topics include:
Campaigns
Subscription status
Integrations
Visitor thresholds
Scheduled reports
Embed status
A/B tests
Tip: You can enable all notifications or only subscribe to the updates most relevant to your team.
Step 4: Send a Test Notification
Once your topics are selected, send a test notification by completing an action that you requested notifications for. This is to confirm everything is working correctly.

If the test notification appears in Slack successfully, your integration is now live.

Slack notifications help your team stay informed without constantly checking the Alia dashboard.

Monitoring campaign activity
Tracking A/B test updates
Receiving scheduled reports automatically
Staying informed about integration issues
Monitoring visitor threshold events

Notifications are not appearing in Slack
Make sure:
The Slack workspace was connected successfully
The correct notification topics are enabled
Your Slack channel permissions allow app messages
The integration has not been removed from Slack
Need to reconnect Slack?
You can remove and re-add your Slack subscription anytime from:
Settings → Notifications
