Symptoms
A subscriber signs up only once via the Alia popup.
They receive the correct welcome email from the list Alia is configured to use.
They also receive a welcome email from a different list/flow they never intentionally joined.
That second list may show Alia-sourced profiles even though it isn't the list connected to your Alia integration.
Why does this happen?
Alia syncs new subscribers to the list selected in your Alia integration settings. Separately, Klaviyo's Shopify integration (Klaviyo > Integrations > Shopify > "From Shopify") has its own list setting for customers created via Shopify.
If these two settings point to different lists, and each list has its own welcome flow, a subscriber can be added to both lists at once, triggering both welcome flows.
How to resolve.
Option 1: Point both integrations to the same list
In Klaviyo, go to Integrations > Shopify > From Shopify and check which list is selected.
In Alia, check your popup's Integration settings (or Integrations > Edit for default lists) to confirm which list Alia is sending subscribers to.
Set both to the same list so subscribers are only added once.
Option 2: Keep the lists separate but adjust the flows
If you need the lists to stay separate for segmentation, adjust the flow filters/trigger conditions in one of the flows to exclude subscribers who came in through the other list (e.g., exclude profiles with the Alia source tag from the second flow).
Prevention
When setting up or changing your Shopify > Klaviyo list mapping, always cross-check it against the list selected in your Alia integration settings — they need to stay in sync, especially if welcome flows are attached to more than one list.
Still Having Issues?
If you've confirmed both integrations point to the same list and are still seeing duplicate sends, reach out to support with:

Manager access to Klaviyo (if you're comfortable sharing) so we can check the flow filters directly
