How do surveys work? 🖥️

Surveys are always anonymous. Create one at Surveys → Create a new survey, then set the audience by location and role.

This article will be divided into two parts:

  • How do surveys work?

  • How do I create surveys?

How do surveys work? 🙋

Surveys can be used to create anonymous questionnaires that your employees can answer. Some examples are satisfaction surveys, feedback or evaluations.

Important to know:

  • Surveys are always anonymous, so you can see how many people responded, but not who responded.

  • You can choose between different response formats such as: True/false, multiple choice, etc.

  • The results can be viewed by clicking on the survey that has been created and then clicking on ‘Results’:

How do I create surveys? 📝

  • Go to the All Gravy website.

  • Click on ‘Surveys’ on the left side of the screen.

  • Click ‘Create a new survey’ either in the centre of the screen or in the top right corner.

  • When creating your survey, remember to fill in all text fields and choose an answer type, otherwise it will not be saved correctly ✅.

  • After you have created your survey, select ‘Audience’ — here you choose by location and by role.

  • Now you can post your survey and share it with your employees! 😄

A note on roles. The role in an audience is the job-title tag on somebody's People record, not their permission level. Targeting the "Manager" role reaches everybody carrying that job title, which is not the same set of people as everybody holding the Manager permission.

If a survey reached nobody, check the audience first. A location with no matching role, or a role nobody carries, produces an empty audience and the survey publishes to nobody.
