How does pulse work?

This article will help you understand how pulse works :)

Updated over a month ago

What is pulse?

  • Pulse is a tool used to measure employee wellbeing and satisfaction through simple, anonymous smiley surveys.

  • By analysing employee mood and satisfaction across the organisation, Pulse can give you an insight into how your employees are feeling and where improvements may be needed .

How does Pulse work? 🙋

Happiness Score

  • "The happiness score is calculated by taking the average of smileys chosen by employees and then calculating the average for the entire organisation. This gives a general indicator of how happy employees are.

  • Example: A Happiness score could be 9.4, which means that the average of smileys is close to the maximum satisfaction.

Response rate

  • "Response rate measures how many employees have participated in Pulse by selecting a smiley at least once during the month. If an employee participates, they are counted in the monthly response rate.

  • Example: A response rate of 38% means that 38% of employees have participated in Pulse during the month.

Count of Smileys

  • ‘Count of smileys’ shows a breakdown of the different smileys that have been selected. This gives you a sense of how employees feel overall.

  • Example: If 66% of smileys are happy, it indicates that the majority of employees are satisfied.

How do I see the development over time? 📊

Happiness Score Over Time

  • Happiness scores can be tracked over time so you can see how employee wellbeing changes month by month. For example, the score in May might be 9.6 and drop to 8.3 in July, which could indicate a need to address employee happiness during that period.

Happiness Score Per Location

  • You can also view happiness per location. If you have multiple offices or departments, Pulse can show average Happiness Scores for each location, helping you identify specific areas that need attention.

What can Pulse help with? 🤔

Pulse provides a clear insight into how employees are feeling and enables you to take action based on the data.

By measuring both mood and engagement, Pulse can help identify wellbeing trends so you can create a happier and more productive workplace.
