All Gravy handles leave end to end: the types you offer, how much people accrue, the requests themselves, and the public holidays that sit behind them. This is an admin guide. đ´
Leave types and policies
You define your own leave types per account, and attach an accrual policy to each. A policy controls how much someone earns, over what period, and what happens to anything unused at year end through carry-over rules.
Types that should not be capped can be set to an unlimited balance.
Balances
Every employee balance is broken into four figures, so both of you can see where the number came from:
Earned â accrued under the policy so far
Carry-over â brought forward from last year
Used â already taken
Pending â requested but not yet approved
Requests and approval
Employees request leave in the app. Requests route through your approval flows, which can branch on the leave type and the number of days, target an approver by person or by role, and run as multi-step approval: any one approver, all of them, or in sequence.
The Leave Overview gives you everything in one place, and exports to CSV in one click.
Public holidays
All Gravy ships a per-country holiday library. Turn on the countries you operate in and the holidays come with them. You can add your own custom rules, and you can disable individual holidays from a country's library where they do not apply to you.
Bradford Factor
If enabled, All Gravy scores absence using the Bradford Factor: occurrences squared, multiplied by total days. It weights frequent short absences more heavily than one long one. Scores appear on the employee's Leave tab under People, and a breach can trigger a workflow.
Payroll
Leave types map to payroll codes in the same way salary codes do, so time away flows through to your payroll export rather than being reconciled by hand.
