Streamline Load Monitoring with Real-Time Mileage Data

Updated over a week ago

We’re excited to introduce automated mileage calculations as part of Alvys' Track & Trace functionality! This new feature eliminates the need for manual mileage tracking, giving dispatchers instant insights into trip progress directly within the system.

What's New

With this release, Alvys now automatically calculates the mileage from a load’s last known location to its next stop. This data is seamlessly integrated into key dispatch tools:

  • Load Details Page: The "Tracking" section now displays the mileage to the next stop alongside location details.

  • Dispatch Planner v2 (DPv2): A new column, "Mileage to Next Stop," allows dispatchers to sort and filter loads by remaining miles, improving visibility and efficiency.

How It Works

On the Load Details Page, the mileage to the next stop appears in the "Tracking" section, updating every 15 minutes based on GPS pings and a standard truck routing profile.

Within Dispatch Planner v2 (DPv2), the "Mileage to Next Stop" column shows the remaining miles for each trip. Dispatchers can sort loads by mileage to prioritize those closest to their next stop or filter trips by mileage thresholds, such as loads within 50 miles of their destination.

This feature is available to all users with access to the Load Details Page and Dispatch Planner v2, making it a valuable tool for dispatchers and operations teams managing real-time load tracking.

More enhancements to Track & Trace are on the way—stay tuned for future updates!
