How to set up KSK ELD Integration

Updated over 2 months ago

ℹ️ As of February 25, 2025, we've introduced two key updates to ELD integrations. First, we now validate credentials before saving, so you’ll instantly know if they’re incorrect, eliminating confusion. Second, the integration card UI has been revamped for clearer status indicators and a more streamlined deactivation process. These improvements aim to make managing integrations faster and more straightforward.

To begin setting up your integration with KSK ELD, please make sure you have your subsidiaries set up first. Then, follow the instructions below:

Part 1: Generate an API Token / Key from within the platform

Go to Management / API Tokens from your KSK ELD account:

Click on Generate Token

Enter the token name and click ok

The browser will then re-direct you to the token list page and that’s where you will find your Integration token / key

After you've received/generated your API key, please proceed to Part 2.

Part 2: Enter the KSK ELD API Key in Alvys

Once you have your KSK API Key, you are ready to configure it within Alvys. Navigate to the Management page within Alvys by clicking the Profile button in the upper right corner, then select "Management".

On the Management page, select the proper subsidiary from the left hand side, then find the Integrations section.

Expand the ELD section of the integrations list and click on the crayon icon from the KSK integration box:

This will open a dialog box where you would be prompted to enter the KSK ELD API Key. Once those have been entered, please click the Save button:

Part 3: Add the KSK ELD asset ID to individual assets within Alvys (this will allow location tracking)

*Before beginning part 3, you'll need to have your trucks and/or trailers set up in the Alvys system.

Find the Assets option on the blue Alvys toolbar, then select either trucks or trailers (depending on what you need to set up).

From the list of assets, find and double-click the particular asset you are ready to assign. This will open the Edit Asset page.

On the asset page, scroll down to find the ELD Integrations section, then click the blue Add Integration button. Then, the Add Integration pop-up window will appear.

In the Add Integration window, click the drop-down menu and select KSK ELD.

Next, find the KSK asset ID, (it can be found as part of the hyperlink when editing that asset in the KSK ELD Platform. Ex: https://app.kskeld.com/client/vehicle/25236). Then, paste it (25236) into the Integration ID field in the Add Integration window.

Click the blue Save button. Then, repeat steps 2 through 6 for the rest of your KSK trucks and/or trailers.

Part 4: Add the KSK ELD Driver ID to individual drivers within Alvys (this will allow seeing the Drivers HOS in the loads and Dispatch Planner

*Before beginning part 3, you'll need to have your drivers set up in the Alvys system.

Find the Assets option on the blue Alvys toolbar, then select drivers (Link)

From the list of assets, find and double-click the particular driver you are ready to set up. This will open the Edit Driver page.

On the asset page, Find the ELD Providers section and the Add ELD button. Then, the Add Integration pop-up window will appear.
